Prof. Nevijo Zdolec graduated Veterinary Medicine in 2002, and received PhD degree in 2007. Currently, he is Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Hygiene, Technology and Food Safety at the Veterinary Faculty, University of Zagreb. He published 52 papers in journals and books indexed by Scopus, quoted 306 times. He served as editor of the scientific book “Fermented Meat Products: Health Aspects” (CRC, USA) and Lead Guest Editor in journal BioMed Research International. He has participated in several national and international professional and scientific projects. He is leader of several continuing education courses for official veterinarians. His scientific and professional interest include veterinary public health, food microbiology, fermented food and risk-based meat inspection.
