Izv. prof. dr. sc. Andrea Gudan Kurilj, DECVP, graduated (2001) and held PhD (2009) at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine University of Zagreb. Since 2001 she has been employed at the Department of Veterinary Pathology, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, where she is still working as an Associate Professor. She is course leader for mandatory undergraduate courses General Veterinary Pathology and Special Veterinary Pathology at the study of Veterinary Medicine in English, and postgraduate courses Basic Immunohistochemistry Techniques and Basics of Circulatory Disorders. She is a leader of Postgraduate Specialist Study on Animal Breeding and Pathology of Laboratory Animals and the Director of Residency Training Program in Veterinary Pathology. At 2004/2005 she spent six months of postgraduate training in veterinary pathology at the Institute for Veterinary Pathology University of Zurich, and in 2013/2014 goes to the same institution for residency training for the purpose of preparing the ECVP Certification Exam that she successfully pass in 2015 and got the title of DiplECVP. She has participated in numerous national and international congresses. She actively participated in the FP7-ERA Chairs-Pilot Call-2013 project and in the realization of 4 more scientific projects. She is a member of numerous Committees at the Faculty of Veterinary medicine, a member of Biomedical council at the University of Zagreb, and since March 2019 she is a Vice Dean of Integrated Undergraduate and Postgraduate Studies and Students. She is a member of the editorial board of the scientific journal Veterinarski Arhiv and member of the European Society of Veterinary Pathology and the European College of Veterinary Pathologists.
